In his memoir on the beginnings of digital computer art in the United States, Noll (1994) reports on some of his early experiments with computer animation, holography, and three- dimensional force-feedback devices while a researcher at Bell Labs in the 1960s. Noll describes conflicting impulses within the organization which on the one hand encouraged such experiments because they provided a means of demonstrating the potential of digital computers to the artistic community, and on the other hand discouraged them out of concern that such projects would be perceived as frivolous and lead to a decline in funding for the work of the Laboratory (1994, p. 41). find out more
It's amazing how much computers are really used today. For art now at least, there are so many possibilities with art. Photography, paint, computer graphics and ect. I believe computer art is the most complex.-samantha batt
