Area Ariel and her magical quest
One day Area Ariel was wondering around town looking for something to do. So she decided to walk to the Baker’s Bakery. When she was there she found out that the baker had a problem. The problem was that the Baker couldn’t remodel his bakery because he didn’t know how big his bakery was and he didn’t know if everything is going to fit. To figure that out he’d have to journey to the Mathical Wizard in Mathtopia.
Area Ariel announced that she would go on the long journey to find the dimensions of the Baker’s Bakery. She went to the Council to inform them of her journey the council announced: “Ariel you may go on this journey if and only if you take 2 companions and solve a math equation.” “Bring it I’m ready I plan on bring point penny and line Lenny with me on my quest, what’s my math question?”
“ 3X +Y=4
2X+5Y=3”
“The X- Value equals 1.30769231 and the Y-Value equals 0.1,”Answered Ariel. ”Correct” replied the Council.” Go and collect your 2 companions and go on your journey you must be back in 2 days” a councilwoman replied. So Area Ariel left the Council room to go and collect her 2 companions. she arrived at line Lenny's house first and told him “Get ready and go to the city gates Council’s orders.” “What for I didn’t do anything...I think” “Just do as I say” Said A.A. Then she went to go to point penny’s house and told her the same thing.
20 minutes later…
They were all set and ready to go as they were walking along a trail to Mathtopia they saw a Sly fox standing in the middle of the trail. The fox told them “ In order for you to pass you need to answer a question of mine”
“One day I ate a rabbit second day I ate 3 rabbits the third day I ate 5 rabbits. how many did I eat the fourth day?”
“That’s easy the answer would be 7 rabbits because each day you eat 2 more rabbits. ”answered A.A. “That’s right you may pass” later on the trail they found an elder turtle and he asked them “solve this problem and you may pass’
“5, 17, 52, 157 what are the next 2 numbers and why?”
“That’s harder but the answer is 472 & 1417 because each number you are multiplying the number by 3 plus 1” A.A said to the turtle.” Correct you may pass” so they did and they continued down the path. As they were walking A.A learned more and more during the journey that has ever learned she learn about linear equations & sequences.
Then they later arrived at Mathtopia and asked to see the Mathical Wizard.They then had to journey to the other side of Mathtopia to the darker part of it. They continued to travel to the Mathical Wizard when they arrived A.A ringed the doorbell and announced: “ We are here to see the Mathical Wizard to ask a question.” “What is your question child?” asked the Mathical Wizard. “How do you find the area of a building interior?” “That would be finding the surface area of a cube and the formula for that would be 6a^2 the a value would be the length of a wall then square it and multiply it by 6,” said the Mathical Wizard. A.A wrote it all down and said: “Thank you for helping us we really appreciate it and all you have done for us.” “No thank you, nobody, comes to visit me anymore”
Little did they know that the journey back was the most dangerous quest of them all?
